PURITY IN PASSION
Loved the flow and freedom these soft, delicate poppy petals portrayed. I found myself captured by the purity of colour and the softness of the strokes I had to make in order to properly show their fragility.
A true Delight!
'Wine Ripened" by Angela Eyck-Klemanski

Portrait Study with Florence Artist
'Study of a Man' by Angela Eyck-Klemanski
A wonderful 2 week Portrait study workshop with Martinho Correiga. A master artist from The Angel Academy of Florence, Italy. At times frustrating, but overall worth the journey.
Girl in a Buffalo Robe study
Another quick draw and study full of contrast and value.
Painted in oils with a quick wet on wet style, this cute young Native American girl, shyly peeks around her buffalo robe.
The beauty of Palette knife painting frozen in time. It has been a cold, brutal winter this year and feeling the 'freeze' I felt compelled to capture some of the frozen glory.
This piece suggests that there is hope, with spring just around the corner.
A fun palette knife adventure on tissue covered canvas.
The rough surface lends an interesting texture to the birch trees.
Study of a John Sargent Majors Painting.
I had the honour of doing this portrait study with Tracy Gardner.
First Nations Chief
A study of a First Nations Chief. A quick draw and study in values. An enjoyable wet in wet technique to capture his aura quickly.
Limited Pallette Color Study
Thoroughly enjoyed this 2 day workshop. A quick draw and then into the paint! Enjoyed my day at Midlake art Studio.
Paint on Paint!
Had great fun doing a color study on a tube of paint!
