A New Yeah!
Yes you read that right. It may be a new year, but let's just make that a new YEAH! Have to stay on the positive side of things as life throws us way to much crap otherwise. I have so many things happening good and bad that if I actually made a list the bad would probably outweigh the good and who needs that! Like to think I am more of a 'glass half full' than 'empty' kind of a person. I hope you find that too and enjoy all the positives in your life. I happily finished my Best Buds painting and am almost finished my latest piece as well. I have even started drawing out another so I can keep on rolling with my paintbrush. Yeah! I will post them as I go. The one that is almost finished, I may as well wait till its done as you may not be able to tell so much between the finishing touches, but I will. LOL! Eagerly awaiting to hear if I am in or not for the Stampede Art Gallery. I would be ubber excited if I am, but I will take it just fine if I am not. It is time I start approaching galleries. I have to get over my fear of rejection and just ask. Yeah! My Painting Friends are amazing and I am so Happy to be painting with them. Will ask if I can share their masterpieces with you in a future post. Yeah! My hand is healing and I am so happy to be able to free it from the splint a little more often. This way I hopefully will not lose as much mobility and that which I did lose I will quickly regain. This will allow me to paint that much more! Yeah! I broke my treadmill but the happy news is I am getting an even better one. LOL! Yes I do have to wait for it to arrive, but I am excited! Yeah! Well those are a few Yeahs! And good ones at that. I do ask that you add my DH (Dear Husband) to your 'get well' lists as he is very ill and in a huge amount of pain at present. Thanks my friends! Hugs, Angela

![]() As I have journeyed down my life's path, there have been many offshoots along the way. The choice is of course our own, and the outcome can be surprising and life changing. One such life changing path that has influenced me greatly is WLS (wieght loss surgery); in conjuction with diet and exercise. I have lost over 75 lbs in the past year and have dropped 12 dress sizes. This has given me so much more energy; confidence and increased health benefits that all areas of my life are improving. My insulin (type 1 Diabetic) has dropped over 60 % -- that is huge! My Doctor's are overjoyed to say the least. This increase in energy has helped me with my art, in the sense that I now have more energy to paint; have more drive and focus; can and do arrange photo shoots; field trips; and the will to try new things. Not only trying new things in art, but life in general. Don't be afraid to tackle anything and everything. Don't hide behind inexperience and excuses. Life is waiting to be lived. Art is demanding to be painted. Hugs, Angela We are constantly exposed to art. Art of different venues, whether they be music, visual, commercial, photography or how you put on your make up every day. Mostly that applies to the women, but hey if you men want to be artistic with make up, GO FOR IT!
It is amazing how we can feel peace and tranquility by staring at a scene of calm waters and reflecting on the reflections within. Feelling horror and disgust by hearing or viewing supposed 'art' of rotting meat on a clothesline or the purposeful disfigurement of someone 'cutting' themselves in the name of art. We get mad and upset at the unfair treatment of others usuallly through thier plights portrayal in movies. We can also move and bring tears to our loved ones by painting and presenting them with a portrait of thier loved one long gone. Art is all encompassing. Do you sing out loud with certain songs? Some are meant to be sung loudly, even in the presence of others. I know I get a kick out of singing AC/DC's "We've Got Big Balls" very loud and out of tune at my art class. Hey, I think my fellow classmates get quite the kick out of it, as they laugh and holler, some even sing along. Some even request it to brighten our moods! I also recall singing 'Funky Town' as I was younger, but I certainly had the first word wrong! I thought I was singing a very bad word! And believe me I did loud and proud while I did my chores. I remember my Mom asking what in the world I was singing, and I calmly saying it is the song mom, it is art and everyone is doing it. Well, apparently I was the only one! Ha ha! So go out there and enjoy your art! Sing it loud and proud! Pass the emotions on to others, but hopefully it will be the emotion that brings a smile and a tear (in a good way) to anothers day! Hugs!
